Hi there lovely faces! I did a
few fun things this week but I got a really nasty cold, so that’s a bit of a
bummer. Oh well, let’s see what I’ve been up to!
On Sunday I went to the Sister Act Musical in Scheveningen. I live in
the south of the Netherlands and Scheveningen is in the west, so it takes a
while to get there.
In the Netherlands we have a card
similar to the Oyster card. It’s a card we use to travel with, super easy and
practical! It also saves me quite a bit of money, and as I’m a student I get discount
in the weekends (I don’t have to pay anything at all during the week because I’m
a student too!).
It takes a while to get there,
but there’s a lovely beach and lots of restaurants!
We – my mum, my brother and I –
were starving, so we decided to eat at the Big Bell restaurant. I ordered the “Lady
Schnitzel”, expecting it to be tiny, well… Imagine this 5,5ft girl with a massive schnitzel... Let’s just say I didn’t manage to
finish it haha!
After lunch we had to go to the theatre.
We had such good seats! The musical itself was a lot of fun to watch.
I thought this would be fun to
show as well. Here in the Netherlands we have sparkling ice tea. In a bottle. I
met some Michigan students last spring and they told me that it was very
strange to them to be able to buy it in stores etc.!
This is what I wore to the
musical. Esprit Leather Jacket, Esprit
Dress, I honestly have no clue where my boots or tights are from.

On Monday I went to my chum Tahnee and we went shopping and we had a
pamper/movie evening later that day. We watched Tangled and the Little Mermaid
3, it was so much fun!
Boots from H&M, Jeans from Only.
I had to go to school on Tuesday,
not so much going on. When I went home I really got the autumn feeling! It was
sooo cold and there were fallen leaves everywhere!
I LOVE the necklace I bought on the little shopping spree on
Monday! For my Dutchies: it’s from C&A.
Wednesday and Thursday are such a blurr… As I’ve told you, I got a really nasty
cold and I can’t remember if I did something interesting those days. I don’t
think I did as there aren’t many pictures haha. I did go to school and went to
work both days. Thursday was the worst day of this week as my cold was so
horrible I couldn’t fall asleep..
I did finish The Hunger Games on Wednesday! It is such a good
book. I can’t wait for the second film!
My nail varnish lasted sooo incredibly long! This was taken
on Thursday. The colour is OPI’s Every Month is Oktoberfest. It hadn’t chipped
ONE BIT! It’s insane! My rings are from Forever21.
As I didn’t get much sleep I stayed in bed for almost the
entire day on Friday. I had
something really cool planned in the evening, so I just HAD to be feeling a bit
better by then!
Finally took off my nail varnish. I’m testing Essie’s
Millionails nail strengthener. So far so good! There’ll be a full review later
on my blog.
So I had this cool thing planned in the evening. As you might
know, I work at a supermarket, and we became 3rd in the competition
of being the best C1000 (kind of supermarket) of the Netherlands! Our prize? We
got to go to the Nick & Simon Concert. If you aren’t Dutch I don’t think
you know them, but it was a fun experience.
We were VIP and got food and free drinks!
On Saturday I just slept in until 1 P.M. and watched some
YouTube videos during the afternoon. I had to work in the evening so I didn’t
take any pictures. However, I have found this video about a man planning a
surprise wedding according to his girlfriend’s pinterest!
Hope you had a wonderful week!
<3
Lots of love,
Laurie
