FIRST IMPRESSION | RED CARPET MANICURE

Hi everyone! Last Saturday I gave myself a Red Carpet Manicure; do you want to know my first experience?

Red Carpet Manicure, RCM, is a DIY kit for a gel manicure. I don’t own one myself, but I was at an event where you could try it out. Of course as a nail varnish lover: I had to try it out!

The kit they had at the event was the Professional LED Kit. This kit contains:
·         Professional LED Light (with timer function)
·         PURIFY Pre & Post Application Cleanser (59ml)
·         PREP Max Adhesion Sanitizer (9ml)
·         STRUCTURE Base Coat Gel (9ml)
·         BRILLIANCE Seal & Shine Top Coat Gel (9ml)
·         ERASE Gel Nail Polish Remover (59ml)
·         REVITALIZE Nourishing Cuticle Oil
·         LED Gel Polish (9ml) in Red Carpet Reddy
Prices: £89.95 // €124.95

At the event you got a step-by-step instruction form that you could follow, if something wasn’t clear you could always ask the lady that was giving the workshop. When she walked by and looked at my nails, she said I had lovely nails, so nice of her to say that haha! I really liked her.
Unfortunately, I don’t remember the number/name of the colour I got. It is this coral orange colour, and if you don’t know it yet: I’m obsessed with coral.

I think it is very easy to do yourself. It takes about the same amount of time as it would take if you paint your nails normally, so that’s good. The brilliant thing about this is that, when you’re finished, you can use your fingers straight away. No dimples, no smudges, nothing.
The ring is from Rebelista.nl

My Opinion:
I really liked the experience, but the kit is expensive, and they don’t have every colour. Another downside: the gel varnish has to be removed in a specific way. (They say you should get the Removal Kit, which is another £8.95// €13.95) I wouldn’t purchase the kit, the price just really puts me off, but it was fun to try it out!

Lots of love,
Laurie

  2. The color looks beautiful on you, Laurie. Gel nail polishes are realistically amazing and quite trending nowadays. You should be aware of proper handling of this item, especially if you're a nail biter. It can be dangerous to your health if you bite your nail while they're coated.

    1. Hi Lilia! Thank you so much for your comment! Luckily for me I’m not a nail biter, but I can imagine that it isn’t healthy for you to consume any kind of nail varnish (either gel or normal). Would you like me to go more into this topic in another blogpost?

      Xoxo Laurie

  3. This ends up costing homeowners more in the long run as carpets have to be replaced more frequently. It is imperative that carpets are well kept, not only to prevent health issues, but also to decrease unnecessary expenditures. look at this
