REVIEW | NIVEA PURE AND NATURAL HYDRATING DAY CREME

Hi everyone! Today I’m going to review the Nivea Pure & Natural Hydrating Day crème.

A few weeks back, my skin was so dry and flaky, that I needed something that would moisturize my skin. I went to my local drugstore, saw this day crème and decided I wanted to try it out.
What I really liked about it in the first place was that it claims to be made out of 95% natural ingredients and contains biological Argan oil and Aloe Vera. It doesn’t contain parabens, silicones, colouring, or mineral oils. Personally, I think it is important you are aware of what you put on your skin, especially when you’re using it on your face.
I’m very sensitive to fragrances, often they give me headaches. I think most of Nivea’s products don’t have a strong scent to them, this crème doesn’t. The smell of this is, to me, the typical Nivea scent. It will go away after a few minutes, so your face won’t smell like it the whole day.
It’s a cream for normal to combination skin, so you wouldn’t think this will hydrate your skin that much. Why I still chose this? I tend to get a lot of spots on my cheeks and my T-zone gets quite oily sometimes.

Only a little is enough for my whole face. Sometimes it can go on a bit “white”, but when you massage it into your face it is absolutely fine.
Because it is for normal to combination skin, it isn’t greasy at all but still hydrating. That is something I really like in a crème.
What did it do for me?
For me, it really made a difference. As said before, I tend to get a fairly amount of spots on my cheeks, and after using this for two weeks, that became less. I also have less dry areas. So far, I’m very pleased with this crème!

Lots of love,
Laurie

TWO BLOG POSTS I CAN RELATE TO | PART TWO

Hi everyone! Today’s blog post is going to be Part Two of my “Blogpost I Can Relate to/Inspire Me!” you can read part one here

For me, this topic is quite hard to talk about. I was never allowed to, so I’m not used to talk about it either. The post I’m talking about is about weight (“Why are you so skinny?”) and is, again, written by Zoe.

PREVIEW | MAC BAKING BEAUTIES COLLECTION

This spring it’s all about pastels: pinks, lavenders, minty blues and greens. It was just a matter of time until MAC would bring out a collection that screamed cupcakes and princesses.

M•A•C loves everything about a cupcake. Face Powder arrives in exclusively designed cupcake patterns, and Lustre Drops create a luminous finish. Pro Longwear Paint Pots add a touch of dazzle. Haute & Naughty Lash delivers two in-one coverage. Lipstick lays it on soft and tempting in tones including Devil’s Food and Raspberry Swirl. Mineralize Tinted Lip Balm provides nutrient-rich moisture. Nail Lacquer decorates in glittering Bleu Velvet and Pistachio Crème. And for professional results, two limited-edition brushes with pastel accents. Hello, cupcake!

TWO BLOG POSTS I CAN RELATE TO | PART ONE

Hi everyone! Today’s post is going to be a little bit different than the usual, but I feel so inspired, motivated and understood, that I just have to share this with you! This is the first part, because don't think I can do this in one go.

The posts I’m talking about are both written by Zoe. I’ve never actually talked to her or anything like that, so this isn’t something she has asked for. But after reading these two posts, I feel connected. (In a non-creepy way haha)

JAPANESE BEAUTY TREND: CROOKED TEETH?!

Last week I read an article on a well-known Dutch beauty blog. For all the Dutchies that are reading this: I’ll put the link at the bottom of this post, so you can read that as well.
We all know the Western standard of what we think is “pretty” or “beautiful”: perfectly, straight and pearly white teeth. Now, I’m not saying that you have to have this in order to have nice teeth. Personally, I think it’s much prettier if you have a bit of over-bite.
In Japan there’s something rather strange happening, well, to me it is. Instead of having these perfectly straight teeth, they want the opposite: crooked teeth.

FIRST IMPRESSION | MAC REBEL LIPSTICK

MAC Rebel, I would describe it as a burgundy or black currant colour. This is my first MAC lipstick, and I am very excited! I’m used to using high street/drugstore lipsticks and I have never earned (nor used) a high end one before.

FIRST POST

LaurieRobyn

Hi everyone! My name is Laurie and I’m 18 years old. I live in a little village in the Netherlands and this blog is kind of an experiment.

I’m chaotic, but organized; an over-thinker, but calm. I push myself, yet - as it comes to blogs, YouTube accounts and what not – I am a quitter. I still feel the need to start over again, so here I am.

I love fashion, beauty and lifestyle related things. And I hope you’ll love me writing about it.
As time passes, my writing skills will improve, and so does my knowledge about beauty, fashion and lifestyle.

Lots of love,
Laurie
